Now I'm sure. Windows causes loss of work due to inability to change setting thereby forcing user to go home to watch TV rather than using the help file or searching Google for the answer. П˜‰ What else can we blame Windows for. I think I'll take the day off, and blame Windows, to think about it. By the way, iWorks also has the same snap to grid functionality. That does override the snap to grid setting, but you can turn it off on the Grid Settings dialog. The key is finding it.

Just be happy there is a menu and not a ribbon. I'm running 2008, but I think you can find it in a similar place. On 2008, if you turn on the Drawing toolbar, you can click on a button that looks like a grid and set the snap to options.
